ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the application value of Duhuo Shuduan decoction combined with catgut embedding at acupoints in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Methods: A prospective study was conducted to select 120 cases of lumbar disc herniation from February 2020 to May 2022 in our hospital. They were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine therapy combined with acupoint catgut embedding therapy, and the observation group was treated with Duhuo Shuduan decoction on this basis. The lumbar joint range of motion (lumbar flexion, lumbar extension), Oswestry dysfunction index (ODI), visual pain score (VAS), Japanese Orthopedic Association assessment treatment score (JOA), serum inflammatory factor [C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) were compared between the two groups before and after treatment- α (TNF- α)] The level and adverse reaction (rash, malignant vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness) of the two groups were evaluated. To evaluate the application value of Duhuo Duandiang decoction combined with acupoint catgut embedding in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Results: Compared with the control group, the total effective rate of patients in the observation group (95.00%) was significantly higher, with a statistically significant difference(χ2=5.175,P<0.05)。 After treatment, the lumbar forward flexion and lumbar posterior extension in both groups increased, and the (48.62±4.07) ° and (20.45±2.14) ° in the observation group increased more significantly (t=4.813, 5.151, P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of ODI and VAS in the two groups decreased, while the JOA scores increased, and the scores of (22.40±2.09), (2.43±0.62), and (25.45±1.29) in the observation group changed more significantly (t=-11.295, -8.487, 18.650, P<0.05). After treatment, CRP, IL-6, TNF- α The levels were all decreased, especially in the observation group (t=-18.435, -8.986, -11.644, P<0.05). During the treatment, 1 patient in the observation group had elevated temperature, 1 patient in the control group developed dizziness, 1 patient developed skin rash, and 3 patients improved themselves 1 day later without intervention. The incidence of complications was compared between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Duhuo Duandiang decoction combined with acupoint catgut embedding can significantly improve the therapeutic effect of lumbar disc herniation, reduce the degree of lumbar dysfunction, improve inflammatory reaction, and ensure safety. |
