Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and influence on serum inflammatory factors and lung function of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at stable stage treated with self-designed COPD rehabilitation formula. Methods A total of 106 patients with stable COPD admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to June 2022 were included in this study. They were randomly divided into western medicine treatment group and traditional Chinese medicine prescription group, 53 cases in each group. Patients in western medicine treatment group were treated with salmeterol and fluticasone powder inhalation. Patients in traditional Chinese medicine prescription group were treated with salmeterol and fluticasone powder inhalation combined with self-designed COPD rehabilitation prescription. Data observation of the two groups: Clinical efficacy, changes of serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels before and after treatment, changes of total score of traditional Chinese medicine syndrome, changes of total score of St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ), changes of pulmonary function indexes, adverse reactions. Results The therapeutic effect of Chinese medicine prescription group (94.34%) was better than that of western medicine treatment group (79.25%), p < 0.05; Before treatment, IL-6, TNF-α, total score of TCM syndrome, SGRQ score, forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), FEV1/ FVC and other pulmonary function indexes were compared among groups, p > 0.05. After treatment, IL-6, TNF-α, total score of TCM syndrome, SGRQ score, forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), FEV1/ FVC and other pulmonary function indexes were significantly improved in all groups. After treatment, IL-6, TNF-α, total score of TCM syndrome, SGRQ score, FVC and FEV1, FEV1/ FVC and other pulmonary function indexes in TCM prescription group were better than those in Western medicine treatment group (p < 0.05). There was 1 case of nausea in the western medicine group and 1 case of palpitation in the traditional Chinese medicine group (p > 0.05).Conclusion The self-designed COPD rehabilitation formula is effective in the treatment of stable COPD, which can better improve the symptoms and pulmonary function of patients, and is safe and feasible. |
